Im still alive!

Hi everybody!

I know I know, I apologize for my endless silence both here on my blog as well as in emails: I simply have not been able to take the opportunity to sit down and write the hapening for ages! So this will be very brief update about everything that has been happening: after all it’s been a whole month and I can’t remember all details of my days – please do forgive me. I promise to try harder next time and keep updating more often!!

So what have I been up to – well, school has been full on with a lot of assignments from a massive written assessment about effective ministry to a casual business presentation delivered in our public speaking classes. I’ve learned a lot but also been extra busy since I still work within all the ministries and have school alongside. Now we are entering an exciting two weeks – From Thursday onwards we have Colour Conference (Hillsong Women’s Conference) for the next two weeks, the live album recording in the between, and all of this is held at the very heart of the city, in Darling Harbour Sydney Entertainment center! Exciting times I say! Of course we as students serve in the conference, I have been rostered for pamper (giving massages and doing women’s hair as well as nails, like a little luxury treatment :)) and Im all pumped!! We are all expectant of what God’s going to do throughout the conferences..!

Anyhow, the best times Ive had have been with the youth program FUEL, as I am serving as a leader there on Friday night, making it incredible for all the preteens in our church! We’ve had our theme series of ”passing the remote” and a few weeks ago we had Discovery channel, which was absolutely crazy!! We has all kind of insects and lizards, snakes and crocodiles at church, and chickens running around amongst the kids.. What a blast! Maybe one of the most fun nights ever!

With Fuel we always come up with all the best things to do, one week as we were having History channel we built a cardboad castle and had a dragon around, so during the set up we got a bit carried away and created the following little drama… :)

Me and Jenn have got the priviledge to lead an RDG (that is, a connect group for fuel aged kids) and we have been blessed four beautiful girls to look after! We are so pumped about this – it’s a really big deal to have been entrusted young lives into our hands!! Our girls are from left to right: Annika, Jessie, Felicity and Isabella (isabella is missing in the picture). Would you believe if I told you Annika is a quarter Finnish?? We got so excited when we discovered this – she invited me over to their place for Sauna anytime I wish!! Oh man – how good is that?

I’ve been really struggling emotionally, not finding real friends but I have decided not to allow that to stop me from doing the things God has put on my heart here – I believe the friends will come sooner or later as I keep pushing through and pressing in. Finances also have been a huuuuuge issue, since my emloyer totally bailed out and put the restaurant I used to work in under renovations, not even letting me to know when they would reopen. So I have been living with a $0 and no food in the fridge for some time, but God has been faithful and has provided for my needs daily. It’s been a great season of leaning unto Him as I have not been freaking out about the fact I have nothing to live on, but I have this peace inside of me that everything will sort out. And there has not been a single night during the past week when I would have gone to bed hungry – God has always sent what I need through people around me. I feel like I’ve been in the desert receiving manna like the Israelites – receiving enought for one day at a time! Now my church has just blessed my abundantly in helping out with the finances, and I am so grateful to God of how he cares for me.

We also celebrated my friend Keith’s birthday – we had a great italian meal and after that an hour and a half of the best fun – KARAOKE! Only that this time we rented our own karaoke room in this korean karaoke place – man it was so much fun!! You get to sing all the time, there’s no one to laught a you and mock you (except for your lovely friends of course) and you are literally underground – what a crazy night is was!

And then of course, my lovely Jonna returned from Perth and spent a few nights at my place hanging out with me, by which I was so ever blessed! We had a great time chilling at the beach (We found a potato washed into the shore.. how random is that??!! :D) and having a picnic in Hyde park – the weather has been absolutely incredible to be officially autumn so I reckon Jonna brought the sunshine with her from Perth :) In a few days she flies back to Finland and Im going to miss her TERRIBLY *tear*

So that's about the most important things that have taken place - Im sure there'd be plenty more to tell you about but it's getting late and I need to get to bed - anyhow, new things to be told will come daily, so don't worry, you are not missing out, we'll just pick it up from here and keep this up!

Good night my loved ones all around the world - I am so thankful you are in my life<3 align="center">
Lots of Love,
-P
